•  Cautious approach designed to capture gains, while limiting falls
•  Award-winning, highly experienced manager
•  Flexible, adaptable investment approach
•  Portfolio diversified across around 130 positions to manage risk

The Marlborough Bond Income Fund is designed to produce a high level of income while also providing the potential for capital growth.

The fund invests in UK corporate bonds and preference shares, bonds issued by the UK and other governments and other securities paying fixed and variable interest rates.

Award-winning manager

Highly experienced, award-winning manager Geoff Hitchin, is supported by Danny Fox and Niall McDermott. They take a cautious approach, with a focus on capturing gains in positive markets while limiting the effects when they fall.

They are flexible and adaptable in selecting bonds for the portfolio, identifying the most attractive yields available relative to the risk taken.

Diversified portfolio

The portfolio is diversified across around 130 holdings. By avoiding large individual positions, the managers reduce the risk to the overall portfolio, helping to manage volatility.

Risk Warning: The value of investments and the income from them may fall as well as rise and you may not get back the amount you originally invested. Investments in fixed interest securities are subject to market and credit risk and will be impacted by interest rates. The Fund may use derivatives to protect the value of the Fund's assets and for investment purposes which mean that for regulatory purposes it will be regarded as a high volatility fund, however the fund's use of derivatives will have the overall intention of reducing volatility. To ensure that the principal objective of providing a high level of income can be met, 50% of the annual Manager's charge is deducted from capital rather than income. Future capital growth may be constrained as a result.
