Gurjit
Soggi was born in Derby in 1973. He attended the University of
the West of England, achieving a BA (Hons) in Financial Services.
Whilst
at university he developed a keen interest in the philosophy, process
and general methodology of fund management.
Gurjit
joined Marlborough during 1996. He worked within the investment
team from day one, initially analysing unit trusts and OEIC’s,
and working closely with the investment director Nicholas Cooling.
This has provided him with the skills needed to manage his own
fund.
His
pragmatic and research driven investment style has given him performance
to be proud of, especially in his Cautious Fund
which launched him into the media spot light.
As
a relatively new face in fund manager circles he can only strengthen
his talent and keep the old firm looking over their shoulders.
